The Ebus22 Electric Bus is equipped with 130 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery technology providing up to 125-mile range from a single nightly charge. The use of lithium-ion enables the battery to be significantly smaller and lighter than most energy storage systems. At $395,000 it's half the price of a BYD or Proterra!
The Ebus22 is the original battery bus and has been in service longer than any competitor. A unique space-frame design provides seating for 22 and is 100% low floor, without the step-up in the rear area that is typical of competitors' electric buses.
It can carry large batteries in its dual battery compartments, located between the axles for a low center of gravity.
The Ebus22 zero emissions battery electric bus, with its quiet operation and tight turning circle, is ideal for downtown circulator applications where streets are narrow.
40 foot CompositEbus
The 40 Foot CompositEbus is a modern lightweight composite body electric bus of greater strength than a steel body, yet 6,000 pounds lighter. This translates to fuel savings of up to 20% from not hauling that extra steel weight every day for the entire bus lifespan. The body is also virtually corrosion resistant.
This new electric bus takes aim at a much larger segment of transit buses that have traditionally been 40 feet long and very heavy, manufactured from ordinary steel.
Environmentally friendly buses like this one with lower weight translates directly into greater fuel efficiency on a one for one basis: 20% lower weight requires 20% less energy for propulsion.
